Volunteer
Soon after the SCBI began, we received calls and emails from people who wanted to contribute their time and talents toward our mission. Our partnership with Quail Forever provides us with the perfect framework to place volunteers in positions where their skills are maximized.
Through a Quail Forever chapter, you can
-
Get your hands dirty in the field
-
Raise money for habitat projects
-
Help with youth events and education
-
Collect data through spring whistle counts and fall covey counts, and more.
Contact the nearest chapter and find your place in bringing back the whistle:
For anyone whose time is limited, a great way to contribute is by gathering hunt data for the SCDNR’s Hunter Survey. This only requires a few minutes at the end of each hunt and is tremendously helpful in monitoring habitat work and hunter success in the field.
